Overview
Dew Finance is a chain-abstracted asset management framework powered by NEAR Intents and Chain Signatures, designed to unify yield strategies across heterogeneous blockchains. Instead of treating each chain as a silo, Dew vaults operate as global financial objects — accessible from any chain and interoperable through a standardized vault share model (inspired by EIP-4626 & EIP-7540).
The goal is to make vault participation chain-agnostic for both end-users and strategists, enabling individuals and institutions to access yield strategies without the complexity of bridging, token wrapping, or deploying per-chain contracts.
Dew at a Glance
Dew Finance introduces a next-generation vault architecture built around Dew Kernel and Vaults:
-
Dew Kernel:
- Acts as the control plane for vaults.
- Manages configuration, permissions, and governance (e.g., who can update share price, change policies, or pause operations).
- Can orchestrate and deploy multiple vaults across chains through Chain Signatures.
-
Vaults:
- Handle the economic lifecycle of assets (deposit, share minting, redemption).
- Vaults deployed on NEAR can accept deposits and redemptions from most chains directly via NEAR Intents, making them inherently multi-chain accessible.
- Vaults deployed on their native chain fully comply with that chain’s native standards (e.g., ERC-4626 on Ethereum) and can leverage the native infrastructure (DEXs, money markets, bridges) for execution.
- Remain lightweight and strategy-agnostic, with Dew Kernel enforcing rules and permissions on top.
Key Innovations
- Chain-abstracted vaults: Users can deposit from any chain, while strategists can deploy capital to any chain, without manual bridging.
- Verifiable accountant: A transparent, auditable layer validates every allocation and ensures consistency with the vault's canonical state..
- Universal strategy execution: Through Chain Signatures, vaults execute transactions as if they were native user wallets — enabling maximum flexibility for strategists.
- Granular permissions: Customizable roles, permissioned actions, and native multisig support let strategists design resilient governance tailored to institutional needs.
With Dew, strategists gain the freedom to design complex, multi-chain strategies, while users interact with a single, trust-minimized vault interface — unlocking liquidity without borders.
